"the game" could be construed as meaning the Company has been playing a game in all of the time it is taking to issue news of a reorganization and a new business plan and the financial report suggests they may now be able to move forward.

Or, as you're likely suggesting, the financials prove nothing is possible in the way of salvaging a business and the Company will have to declare bankruptcy.
