Of course the spread will – over time -- increase closer to 35 cents. The “knucklehead factor” – unloading at market – may make the spread larger – but that will be temporary because of arbitrage.
I agree that buyers of warrants are optimists – they are hoping for share prices over $2.
If the share price is at $2 – the warrant will be at least in the neighbourhood of $1.65 – at which point you will be grateful that you own 200,000 warrants rather than 100,000 shares.
