Mike Kachanovsky on Commerce Laval News

Mike Kachanovsky on Commerce Laval NewsI need to learn more about the technical details for the processing loop under testing, but my understanding of this news is that more of the waste rock is removed during the initial stages of the processing, and a higher grade concentrate is produced. This means that secondary processing will be more effective, as less acid will be needed to dissolve and separate the REEs from the slurry. Higher production achieved, with lower costs due to lower acid consumption in processing. There will be an extra cost associated with the reagents in the new system but it will be more than offset with the performance improvements.

I think this is potentially very important, and as the news states, they need to test the process further to make sure its not just an anomaly from the test regime. However, if they can continue to demonstrate improved recovery efficiency with multiple batches of different sample material yielding the same performance, then we can conclude its a legitimate breakthrough that will make the development of Ashram even more attractive and economic.

cheers!
