Some Light Reading to Chill. Bees Getting A Buzz.THC Honey?
Some Light Reading to Chill. Bees Getting A Buzz.THC Honey?Credits: Nicolas trainerbees / Facebook Three researchers from Cornell University in New York state say bees are strongly attracted to cannabis. Their study was published Dec. 2 in the journal Environmental Entomology . The hemp cultivation is legal at the federal level since 1 st January 2019 in the US and farms popping up all over the country. According to observations made by scientists, bees flock because of the abundant pollen reserves of these plants, especially Cannabis sativa . The three researchers added that cannabis could thus help scientists better help bees, because they noted that the larger the field, the more bees present in the area. Over the course of the study, they also noticed that this number was constantly growing, a sign that the bees had to spread the word among themselves. Scientists have yet to understand what makes cannabis pollen so attractive to bees. And it is impossible not to think of the honey that one could obtain. In France, a certain Nicolas Trainerbees already produces a honey infused with THC. Source: Environmental Entomology
