Nuclear Power VS Climate Change
Nuclear Power VS Climate ChangeSome things just have to be said so a bit of a year end rant. Now they say travel is bad for the planet so do not travel. What if these people DO take charge some day - pretty scary to think of. Some humans think they are so smart and have all the answers and we need to listen to them. Well humans in general are pretty smart but in the real BIG picture - not so smart.
Here are some facts in no particular order - these are not " What if's" but have really happened and will happen again. Earth Changes all the time - so climate also changes all the time.
1. Summer of 1816. Volvanic eruption and not a real big one caused widespread famine and suffering - food shortages all over - death etc. What if we had implemented only solar and wind and this happens again - Bernie not so smart after all.
1.A Every 600,000 years or so Yellowstone blows and deposits over 8 FEET of ash over an area of tens of thousands of square miles. Would have a decade or more of not much Sun - so solar is not so smart to take over all power sources.
2. Sea Level changes. Going back to the Cambrian era about 540 Million years ago - sea levels have changed dramatically as in not just feet but hundreds of feet. Think about that - hundreds of feet. 100 % of Saskatchewan under water for millions of years.......... Source of UEX Cobalt by the way. Current sea levels are some of the LOWEST over that time period. Yes they have been much much lower but over the past 20,000 years, sea levels have risen a lot. Humans maybe are not so smart - why are cities all along the water if we are so smart. Worried about climate change --- maybe should not have built them so close to the oceans after all.
3. Polluted air - now humans have made some big big progress over the past 200 years. London England in the 1850's - could not see your hand in front of your face, air was filled with smoke from burning all the wood/coal. Other cities as well. Paris, Lisbon, even NY. And LA in the 1970's. Now where do all that smoke go ????? Think of how much cleaner the air is now in all these cities ?? Could be better yes but vast improvements. Just need China and India to build all the Nuclear Power plants they want .
4. Big Waves. - Sometime in the near future a very big wave will hit the East Coast - as in a very big wave from the Canary Islands. This wave will be so big it moves 700 Ton or 140,000 LBS chunks of Coral over 2 miles inland - evidence is found in Jamaica - Storm Sandy woud be just a blip compared to this monster. It will happen some time in the future.
5. Impossible - In 1919 the smartest people on the planet somewhere having a cocktail and talking. One guy says some day 1,000,000 LBS will be able to fly. The rest of the folks laugh in his face. Absolutely impossible and will never ever happen. But it happens every single day with A380's in 2019.
6. In 2014, pretty smart investors saying for sure Uranium in 2017 will be much higher. Well here we are in 2020. U Spot still at $ 26/LB. Maybe all the world's Nuclear Power plants really will shut down. And we move to Wind, Solar, Biomass etc. The earth will be a dark and cold place for most of the world. Or maybe just the US should shut them all down as the rest of the world continues along it's merry way. Not going to happen.
So as we enter the new year, some things are certain. Nuclear Power is here to stay until at least 2060. Uranium in 2060 will likely not be at $ 26/LB. Uranium WILL have made another runup in between 2020 and 2030. Uranium shares in many companies will have increased dramatically. Many (here) if they are patient will make some money, or possibly a lot of money, or possibly a small fortune or a major fortune and set for life. This is an absolute certainty.
Wish you all a Happy New Year in 2020 and a properous year as well. Stay the course as the U wave is coming.
