Impact Assessment Agency

Impact Assessment AgencyHi All;

The CEAA agency has update the Rose Project file again yesterday.
The agency outlined question CRE still has outstanding...about 15...not that many.
The document from caee is 8 pages, click the information link in the update section.

Here is a google translation of the remarks section from page six...

Other remarks
So that the committee and the experts can continue their analysis of the effects of the
water quality overburden, preliminary test results
acid generation potential expected in spring 2020 will need to be
transmitted as soon as they are available.
In its response to question CEAA-46 B), the proponent mentions that the
results are provided in the report titled Characterization of Surface Water
and sediments in order to establish the initial state of the environment before the implantation of the
project - Activity report 2018 and 2019 of September 2019 of ['Annex ACEE-
46. This report does not present the results of all the parameters measured at
fall 2019 - including results for radium, mercury and thallium
that were measured for stream A during the campaign
from September 2019. The promoter must provide as soon as
possible the report (s) including all the results.
The proponent should also explain why the characterization of these three
elements could not be carried out during its sampling campaign of the
spring 2019 when he had been informed in May 2019 of the coming of such a
request.

Next steps
The committee will shortly coordinate a meeting with the promoter and the
expert departments concerned with the above-mentioned issues, if any
appropriate, in order to discuss the information that must be provided for
allow the committee and these departments to continue their analysis of the EI. At
if necessary, explanations can be provided to clarify what is expected.
The time taken by the promoter to provide the information is not included
in calculating the deadline for carrying out an environmental assessment,
Note that the committee plans to submit another request at a later date
information to preclear certain responses.
