RE:RE:Leading Marijuana Reform Advocate In Congress Weighs InThose who follow US politics and know the policy-making procedures in US know that any bill goes through Congress literally has no value unless they have blessings from the senate and the president. Unfortunately, senate majority leader Mitch McConnell and the president both are extremely against legalizing MJ federally in the US. Trump at least in favor of state-wide legalization but McConnell is basically against any legalization.
Dems are doing anything and everything in the house, which doesn't see any light as McConnell has no interest in anything.
Some may argue that Trump May take a chance for election purposes but I don't see it happening. This MJ thing isn't on his (McConnell's) to do list, so no matter how much Dems are doing, nothing is going to happen before next election and either Senate majority or the presidential office going to Dems. The election is in Nov 2020, so basically, there is nothing happening in 2020, almost guaranteed.
Canopy and others have to go forward with their own performances and without US in 2020.
Today's APHA results were little disappointing in the sense that it shows as to what to expect from Canopy. So far Canopy has not been in the leading role in terms of quarterly performances and APHA's results shed more doubts about Canopy's own results.
The bright side is that expectations will be lower from Canopy but if somehow they can beat the expectations, the market may go crazy and so as SP.
Fingers crossed!

This line highlights this:
MM: Have you had a chance to talk to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) or Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) about the timeline for advancing the MORE Act or other marijuana reform this Congress?
Rep. Earl Blumenauer: I am deferring to Chairman Nadler on [the MORE Act], but I have had numerous conversations with House leadership—and not just the speaker and the majority leader—about the need to move. I’m having another meeting with a key person this afternoon in a different staff capacity. We’re beating this drum and hope that we break this loose in the next few weeks.
BUCKLE UP!
