RE:Acreage seems to be

RE:Acreage seems to beThere is no deal for Canopy to take over Acreage for 3.5 Billion. That would have been the value of the deal had it closed on the same day they signed the purchase agreement. If the deal was triggered based on yesterday's closing prices, the deal is worth less than 1 Billion US.
geodcan wrote: the forgotten piece of the Canopy story.  Even the Constellation part of the puzzle doesn't seem to get credit for what is being put together to help keep Canopy ahead of the pack.  Constellation's $5 billion for shares of Canopy made this whole greenrush legitimate and the real deal, that can't be ignored.
Acreage has a 3.5 billion committment for their company and all of its pieces to be swallowed up by Canopy when the Federal marijuana legislation is cleared to allow legitmate companies to "handle" the product.  What the product is isn't clear to most but American potpreneurs have found legal ways to build cannabinoid businesses and Acreage is a serious multi-state operator that Canopy feels will fit nicely into their greenrush dream.
There is a deal inked to take over Acreage worth 3.5 billion dollars and its like the best kept secret and least interesting thing happening as far as shareholders are concerned.
I took a ton of profit from Canopy and put it into Acreage which seemed to have a nice edge to it for the circumstances at the time.  Keep in mind that these companies grow and build equity because they see the future and pro-actively move towards it while others sit around a scratch their pouch.
My thoughts are that the biggest bang for marijuana dollar appreciation is going to be through MSOs that are already established in growing and value added, and Acreage is that, in spades.
I don't get the quiet!  I can only hope it is the calm before the storm.  glta and dyodd
