Doctors from where? Who will Pay? Detailed Assessment Below.

Doctors from where? Who will Pay? Detailed Assessment Below.Hi all,

This stock is quite interesting yet with a glaring problem that remains unanswered.

A key feature in telemedicine is speaking with a physician remotely. But no one can deny that there is a huge shortage of doctors across all of Canada. We need an explanation as to how these doctors will manage their current 'in-person' clinics and somehow find time to face-time another patient at home. Doctors are already overworked and don't have time to do both. They also can't force their patients (most of whom are elderly) to figure out how to use the new technology.

Hiring doctors from outside of Canada is NOT a solution. Why? Because the Royal College that governs doctors does not permit international physicians to assume independent care of Canadian patients. The process of obtaining a licence to practice medicine in Canada is very difficult.

Then there is yet another issue. If hypothetically doctors are found who have time to do telemedicine, what is the guarantee that the government will fund/reimburse these virtual appointments? I can tell you that approval of such healthcare coverage will not come soon as the decision will need to be made after a thorough review by the Royal College and then independently in collaboration with each provincial government since healthcare funding is distributed by the provincial (not federal) government. And I can tell you on top of that, that our provincial governments have almost no capacity to spend more on healthcare (which is why we have horrendous wait times for everything).

So, I hope you can appreciate that given Canada has a deficit of doctors and deficit in healthcare budget, this company's awesome innovation will likely not flourish in Canada. Indeed, this is why another innovative Canadian company decided to market their product/service in the USA. If PHGI is working on a proof-of-concept solution from trials in their own clinics to make this work in Canada, then they will need to start showing us result. If not, then they need start giving us news that they are signing up international partners. If they can't do either, then this stock remains speculative and high risk. I wish this company the best.

Do your due dilegence before investing.
