sproutly for the win!
BNN Bloomberg had this to say in their news release:
Canopy Growth presses pause on cannabis-infused beverage launch amid Cannabis 2.0 growing pains Canopy Growth said Friday it is pausing the rollout of its cannabis-infused drinks as the pot giant takes more time to complete the build-out of its bottling facility for commercial production. Canopy was set to release 13 new cannabis-infused drinks this month under its Tweed, Houseplant and Quatreau brands, but had only seven weeks to begin production after Health Canada amended the company’s licence at its beverage facility in Smiths Falls, Ont. Canopy said the delay is unlikely to have a material impact on its revenue for its 2020 financial year, which ends in March, and will provide an update on its drinks launch when it releases its third quarter results on Feb. 14. RBC Capital Markets analyst Douglas Miehm said in a report to clients on Friday that “certain engineering issues” related to infusing the THC solution into a beverage resulted in quality shortfalls leading to the delay. The main issue that all of these cannabis beverage hopefuls face, is that they don’t have APP technology. The prediction I made many months ago of SPR/MH THC products being the only beverage on the shelf is becoming more and more of a possibility as this MJ story continues to unfold. Perhaps we will see SPR/MH products with first mover advantage along with stand alone status after all.
Since Canopy may not be making beverages in their shinny new HC approved facility, perhaps they may want to resort to packaging services for Infuz20 products?! As a canopy share holder, I sincerely mean that. Roads to profit and decent share price seem to be alluding Canaopy on a consistent basis!
