You should know exactly why providing a time line is a bad idea. If you’ve been investing for any amount of time you should have countless examples of what happens when time lines are posted and then missed. 

What are your “deep concerns” I would love to discuss them in depth. A failure to do so would only weaken the validity of your argument.
