It does seem they were setting this up. 


Even with the famous g7500, eventually you have to design a new plane... and that comes with risks... I can see how selling BA is tempting. 


but bbd is so bad at negotiation, BT is in trouble if they don't smarten up

anyone know what happens to SP if they sell BA and merge with Alstom?

Yup - we already had that sense that BA >>> BT and by pumping the tires on selling BA as a way to solve the debt problems, they confirmed it. Plus, Bellemarre does sweet fa shedding aviation assets for 4 years and then suddenly, Q400, CRJ, Belfast, Morocco, cables are gone in the space of 12 months. And the reason is simple: it would be utterly ridiculous to sell BA and keep those assets....so they had to go first and as many liabilities with them as possible. Well we won't be the only ones to suffer, it will be Legault's first big banana peel mark my words.
