RE:Analyst ratings summaryInfo is much appreciated ris and while the BMO target of $2.50 is my favourite, it does not apply much either as it is from last March....most of the rest are pre Moore move to CEO and the majority haven't had much correct on most everything in the sector on anongoing basis.
The sector is correcting and all companies are at less than 50% of their 52wk highs, with most at ~30%....none of which the analysts were on top of until after it happened in most cases and then many still have little to offer after the fact. Any of the assessments made on sales falling to $10mil for FQ1/20 do not take into account what is going on in the company with the shift to in-house packaging, with the product production increase in product on hand for the period.
CIBC, the most current, focuses on Dhaliwal being pulled as CEO with the therory that "likely portends upcoming turbulence" when the opposite is reality....Moore has the much more relevant skill set and experience for the position and more importantly the change was to accelerate the transition to in-house packaging to maintain guidance and achieve targets set. While looking for a full time CEO with the skill set to manage this company at the level necessary as it grows/matures.
The writing has been on the wall for some time that most including the biggest in the sector were on the wrong path, like WEED with Constellation Brands punting Linton to start correcting before it was to late. FIRE has the least problems of any as they have been on the right path from the jump and now that they are accelerating their operations to full production the sales and net margins anticipated will be realized within the short term.
Everything is aligned and with the transition to packaging in-house in place the guidance targets will be met or exceeded...the market is there, the FIREmenu in high demand, access to top selves country wide, menu attracts healthy margins, it is all about execution from here on for FIRE, with plenty more pain for the majority still yet to come, JMHO....Opt
