Friday release was GOOD news not bad.....perspective Hey “ezemoney”,
I have to disagree with your characterization of the
Naturally Splendid Terminates Agreements Friday afternoon news release as bad news. Maybe since you used the word
adage it’s possible you were only suggesting it
might be bad news
;<) I checked the
Stockwatch News Bulletin listing and there were over 125 listings posted after market close on Friday and I am sure that there are a few “bad” news listings among them. The NSP news release was posted at 17:32 EST which would only be 2:32 pm PST – afternoon here on the west coast where NSP offices are located. I am sure if there was any attempt to “bury” this news it would have shown up on the Stockwatch listing much later in PST time.
The first time I read the termination news release the words “cleanup in aisle 3” popped into my head; to me this is just NSP confirming what we already knew/suspected. IMO the AlternaMedz agreement was a dead back in Sept 2019; although I didn’t state it that bluntly it was pretty clear as I laid it out in
my lengthy Sept 18 post.
I have to admit that on initial reading of
Naturally Splendid Announces Changes to Board of Directors - December 20, 2019 I thought the same thing as “broke”. However, AlternaMedz had not been mentioned for months and there was no mention of AlternaMedz in the news release or in George Ragogna’s bio on the NSP website. That confirmed to me what I had concluded in September.
So I would characterize the “official” announcement that the AlternaMedz agreement was terminated as
good news. NSP is no longer committed to spend capital resources “building out” the AlternaMedz facility – I shouldn’t have to explain to anyone why that in itself is a positive considering all the
recent news in the sector. We all know and agree there is never enough cash!
The funds received from the
.14 PP and the
.085 PP have IMO been put to better use
installing specialized equipment that allows for several different infusion and coating methods and increased capacity at the NSP facility. *****
Glut Check - December 20, 2019
…Today 62,000 acres of hemp are grown in Oregon, a
427% increase from one year ago.
…So many growers switched to hemp, however, that there are now signs of a hemp glut as well. Prices for CBD oil, a popular hemp derivative, have fallen nearly 88% since 2012.

The Prairie Pure agreement was announced on Aug 8
th and we have heard nothing about it since then. IMO it is also
good news that the agreement was terminated. The agreement stated “Prairie Pure, a Canadian entity, will lease the Extraction System from NSE and operate the equipment through Oregon Plant Processing LLC (“Oregon Plant Processing”) and Plant Relief, a 100% owned division of Oregon Plant Processing.”
If the agreement had gone ahead NSP would have shipped its R6 Pro extraction equipment to the States. Most likely NSP would not have received any or received very little toll processing revenue under the agreement. It would also have its extraction equipment stuck in the States with all the headaches and costs that situation could entail.
In July when the
AlternaMedz agreement was initially announced I saw it as a positive potential deal, same with the
Prairie Pure agreement in August, but things change and sometimes very quickly.
Occassionally if one maintains a preconceived attitude towards something they are unable to see a different
perspective – I repeat – I choose to see the termination of both these agreements as
good news :<) *****
