It's disconcerting to see gold stocks go down on day the gold price is up. The only consolation is that Argonaut gold was not the only one down but rather close to 90% of the gold stocks were down yesterday despite the rising gold price. Among them were Barrick gold and Agnico Eagle. Althought initially gold stocks were up they eventually turned negative by the end of the day. If you check the kitco list of gold stocks you will see a sea of red with the odd stocks either unchanged or up.
