For kirkland investors it wouldnt really be much for the shourt term gains. The company buying would do that for a few reasons. Furure mining and to replace depleting reserves (that is if WM has anything significant in the ground, which they do).
WM investors would likely see immediate gains becuse KL would have to offer more than what each share is worth at this point (because WM is proving there is alot of high grade in their property)
