The nickel would go to Sudbury smelter(s)....as of now, the Chrome to SSM

Not to say that could not change.  When Cliffs was involved, the chrome smelter was to go to Capreal...which is just outside of Sudbury.  Noront's Sudbury option had the smelter going to Coniston...which is very close to Sudbury.  In the end, Noront has chosen the Sault...for the chrome.

The mayor of Timmins has suggested that Noront will not be the operator  when the final decision is made.  Given Noront's market cap, I'd have to agree.

For now....the base case for the chrome smelter is the Sault though, from which an economic assessment could be formulated.
