This is a non issue. Share structure will mean nothing.
But, if that doesn't happen(and I doubt that it will), I would much rather own 100K shares of COEX with a 78.8M share float, than 500K of a 394M share float.
This will be a very small, one horse company. What will happen going forward if it doesn't sell tomorrow. What happens if it goes to the well to raise more money. Dilution would then put the share structure at a rediculous #.
To new investors this will matter.
Do it now and give the shares some value.
Normally when these companies spin out, they don't sit there for years and become a trading company, these are Junior exploration companies that find these deposit they are not going to mine it and become a blue chip company that pay quartly divi, they sell out the deposit to the highest bidder.(some people are fixated on tha unrealistic high cobalt price, that is not the norm)
Unless they hold unto the deposit for awhile while, they keep on exploring their property to find more Cobalt an Nickel deposit.
PSM gave birth to UEX 1 for 1 stock ratio, PSM got bought out for $1.00 by Barrick Gold over 10 years ago, Sure if we had kept PSM all these years and sell it out now at todays Gold price you could get $5 to $10 for PSM, but that is not practical or realistic to hold unto a company that long before you sell it out.
The maximum value for shareholders in a spin out into COEX would be a stock ratio 1 for 1,(my perference) anything less than this ratio would be less money in your pocket unless the buy out price coincide with the stock ratio spin off numbers then it is a draw it does not matter, since this is free money in my pocket I will accept any stock ratio spin off, but my perference is 1 for 1.
