They are major consumers of many things, especially commodities.
The longer and deeper this goes, the markets are going to really feel the pain.
Yes, Husky ships lots of crude to USA, but they are practically energy independant.
13M bbls/day and still growing (with less rigs to boot).  Shale has been the disaster story for world oil prices.  If not for China demand, price could be $20 bbl.
Just relate the decline of oil price with shale oil production insurgence
In fact, we better hope USA energy exports business keeps growing as that will soon be main reson to keep taking our product in.
These new pipelines are supposed to diversify our customers base.
Well we know who that potentail new large customer would be?
