Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Anyway, I am surprised that no one here hasn’t yet figured out who the secret investor is. Whatever the reasons, obviously, it is someone who doesn’t want to be left out of the Global therapeutic CBD Bonanza and of the Cannabiis other leading Cannabinoid compounds.
True, as Gottahunch pointed out, easily, the $100m party can hide behind a subsidiary, for a while at least. Considering that 100M is not a trivial amount, pretty sure the secret investor must be confident in Irwin’s abilities. So, whoever that concealed party is, has close ties to Irwin himself (coming from the same circles, in a manner of speaking, I’d say). So, the question now is, why the secrecy? Is it because of Marijuana’s reputation or due to something else? I lean heavily on the “something else” hypothesis. At any rate, highly – highly unlikely that it is the MM character. Of course, to be 100% sure we need proof, and if coming out of the ‘horse’s’ mouth, Irwin, so to speak, all the better.

Well said Hugger of Trees!
