I'm thinking it would be great if the JV could provide display fridges to select retailers where they can stock their beverages exclusively. Remember that just because beverages will be available doesn't mean that retailers are going to stock them. Fridges are an extra expense and having sufficient inventory takes up a lot of space that these outlets might not necessarily want to dedicate to an unknown commodity. I think a key marketing focus is to try and make it as easy as possible for retailers to stock these products. Providing JV fridges (if allowed) comes with a lot of benefits that Imo far outweigh the costs. Dedicated display, reduced $ barrier for retailers, increased interest for consumers, better brand recognition.
I had a very similar post a long time ago. The first time I purchased a Monster energy drink I could not help but grab one out of that black and green fridge and try it. That got me hooked. Also would provide shelf space itself. I think you are spot on.
