Old news. Brookfield is not some super secretive organization. IDK WTF this journalist is talking about. Brookfield asset management owns a ton of BPY. They spun the subs out a couple years ago due to investor demand to target specific classes. Otherwise it would be one ticker symbol. Multiple tickers confuses people, but if it was still one ticker, no one would have noticed the internal asset sale from BPY to BAM.
