New Board Member may be Key Development??Finally I have a bit of time to throw in my 2 cents after attending the AGM. From what I can remember:
- Never heard CF apologise for anything after 25 yrs of AGM’s (didn’t attend all) but he did say that they failed in promoting the stock. I thought that he threw Chad under the bus on this, but I may be wrong?
- They are addressing the issue with new Director which is what I am most positive about. Let’s face it, the other Directors don’t have mining depth of any kind, and as such, they rarely speak, or in one case even attend. (Katherine M.) Obviously, CF does not like to be challenged. Possibly he will listen to reason from a qualified peer. Let’s hope so anyway.
- See Tom’s bio below which is impressive. I even made a few bucks on Barkerville, now taken out by Osisko. It seems that Tom is a deal maker but what I haven’t yet been able to determine is if he knows geology. Some have said that he is a geologist but I can’t confirm yet so can someone help here please? Seems Tom wouldn’t agree to a Board seat if he didn’t believe there was something here?
- I thought CF stressed that they need a good ‘structural’ geologist and are seeking one out. Something about their method of determining where to drill has failed in some part.
- Yes CF threw out the $80 value. Never in all these yrs. have I heard him ‘publicly’ mention a number before. Confidence or desperation, who knows?
- Now the Kelowna connection which may be irrelevant, yet interesting especially for NHL hockey historians. As you can see, TO and BG have been directors together. BG manages JDS Resources. in Kelowna. To me this suggests something to be at least minimally positive about. Colleagues connecting colleagues to our CD can’t be a negative sign? If TO begins to buy shares, me thinks that I may actually get out of this hole I am in. So best to all long-term longs. We may not ‘deserve’ a payday . . . . but then. . . . maybe we do.
