RE:Tune out the trolls NewBuddha wrote: Investing was designed to be a buy and hold scenario. Society and big banks have transformed the stock market into a casino. Maybe sometimes daytraders win but they wont always win and they sure won't tell you when you lose!! ACB will be just fine in the long run. I smoke pot daily and I have for years. AS SOON AS THE GOVERNMENT AND MAJOR LPs figure the supply/demand issues out the industry will fly and I'm not even including medical or cosmetic purposes etc. Once I can walk into the dispensary down the road and buy a FULL OZ for $180 or less of quality bud that's when major change will take place. The reason sales are "below expectation" is because only occasional smokers and new smokers are buying from them. For the daily consumers who will OBVIOUSLY consume more than the other type, its just simply too costly and inconvenient at these stages. I can buy an oz for $150 and it lasts me 2 or 3 weeks. Dispensaries only sell in 3.5 or 7 grams most places ... I'd be in there every 3 days if I cant buy larger in bulk. GOV and LP need to treat it like bulk barn instead of retail outlet ... I don't care about brand name ... i care about how much and how high I get. So far they are only reaching out to the amateur smokers not veterans!! 3 years from now anyone on here saying they sold will be crying themselves to sleep at night!! And of course maybe opening an extra store or 2 in the largest province might help too (eye roll emoji) ... I dont blame people in Ontario for not wanting to drive 2 hours to buy some pot from a store.
you're spending a lot on weed, why not grow your own?
buy and hold is for stable investment grade companies and it still holds true. weed shares are highly speculative.
