Kiril talking about putting Montviel into production!
multi billion dollar asset!
This has become a long term investment now. We are the future Of REE production. That's many dollars per share in 5 years.
The financing is good news, but I was hoping it would have been in the form of a grant [no repayment]. But good news nonetheless for there is no dilution to shareholders.
But VentureGuy, you are getting way ahead of yourself here. The Montviel resource is nowhere near a production stage. They have not proven yet that it is an economic reserve/project. That takes a Feasibility Study, which takes at least a year or two to complete, at a cost of several million dollars. And before that happens, GeoMega would have to perform a Preliminary Economic Assesement, which takes up to a year to complete and up to one million dollars.
Billion dollar asset?? No, I'm sorry! :) The odds are, Montviel will never make to production. It's extremely rare to find a resource that makes ALL the necessary criteria to be profitable.
I think GeoMega's little demonstration plant is a great move forward, but please don't assume or post that their unproven large scale separation technology will work on a ore resource. Separating a few rare earth oxides from magnets is far different from separating 15 rare earths buried in ore.
Is GeoMega's 'ISR' Technology of use to the DOD? Perhaps, but only once proven on a larger scale. But a constant and available flow of waste/recycle magnet feedstock is of a concern to me. Will the 'ISR' Technology satisfy all of DOD's rare earth needs? No. The GeoMega's technology is limited to a high concentrate magnet [tailings] feedstock, and currently only able to separate a few different salts. Will the ISR someday be able to separate all rare earths from an ore concentrate? Hard to say, but once again.....one step at a time!
Rare earth separation/refinement is one of the most difficult metal processes in the world.
