RE:RE:RE:Not quite what I expected but then what else is new. I understand, I think, what you are saying. Let's start from the beginning, when the gold was being laid down. I'm not a geo either. The mafic volcanics (greenish rocks) were laid down first. Then came the felsic volcanics (yellowish rocks). There were a few depressions made, because of the weight of the felsics on top. Over time, all rocks were tilted from flat lying to near vertical. Then there was movement made from a nearby intrusive, which also happened to be the source for the gold. As a result of this movement, structual faults/fractures were developed. Because the felsic volcanincs are more brittle, they fractured first, so the gold took the easiest route it could, up the faults. The widest areas of gold would be within the depressions. As far as I know, the highest grades of gold would be in the middle of the overall layer, with disseminated lower grades being on the outer limits of the layer. Eg. 20 g/t over 10m, within a layer of 60m of 1.5g/t. Does any of this make sense??
