CanAsia Energy Corp. is a Canada-based junior oil and gas company. The Company is engaged in the exploration for, and the acquisition, development and production of, crude oil and natural gas reserves. The Company, through its subsidiary, Andora Energy Corporation, is focused on developing the bitumen resources at the Sawn Lake property using steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) development. There is sure some value in the Thai op`s and the stock is looking cheap here.
I`ve been in and out in this stock for many years and for some reason it seems I`ve missed they have sold their produced oil at such a hefty discount down in Singapore.
I have thought all along they sold to PTT and on to the domestic market at a much less discounted price than that 23% (!) why on earth sell it in Singapore when the Thailand is a net importer of crude oil ? strange behaviour indeed.
Well at least that seems to have stopped now.
Also news to me they only have this year until the exploration licences expires in Thailand, no wonder they will keep going with the drillbit non-stop from here.
I will keep following this play as there`s sure worse places out there to park ones capital...
