RE:Paleochannels RE

RE:Paleochannels RE
goldhunter11 wrote: Since the RE for paleochannels are quite significant (116,000oz, equivalent to about 1 yr production at 100,000 oz/yr, or 2-yr production at 50% rate) RNC may put in some effort in the current drill program to update their RE. The info below were posted in ceo.ca, post here for info for those intersested:

"...many thanks for the info. I also did some checking and found the paleochannels (Mitchell and Challenge/Swordman).There are some pictures to look at (Google, Mitchel paleochannels) would lead to an Avoca Tech Report, Fig 7.20 which show the location of the above channels). Some have been mined together with Graveyard, but there are a few that have not been mined. These areas (where those ancient riverbeds, later filled with Au-bearing sediments, still contain quite a bit of gold. The old rivers were heading to lake Cowan. Google Lake Cowan, Western Australia would lead to a satellite map showing the open pits, just north of the lakeshore. Comparing the two pictures you can decode which pit-is-which. The distance from the mill to these paleochannels is not that far (a few km), so expect some further drilling from the current drill program for updating their RE. For comparison purposes, Mt. Henry is some distance away in the south, on the next lake, Lake Dundas. That's why it is not on the top priority list. The satellite map shows a good road network on the north shore connecting the (shallow?) pits for the paleochannels."

It is sort of funny how people were once upset at the Higginsville purchase. Now we are finding that it all included prospect lands worthy of exploration for the next 10 years. The story is developing and I am convinced that when MMX royalty renegotiated , we will be producing more than expected.
