Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

food for thought

food for thoughtcar was aksed this on the Cannalyst recently:

Question:
"Not sure if you follow the folks over at Stockhouse, but they're constantly spreading rumors about Aphria partnering with Bayer. I know you can't confirm or deny any of these rumors, but would it even be possible to have a partnership like this because of the international red tape associated?"

Answer:
I do not follow Stockhouse. I do not see international red tape impacting someone’s ability to partner with a cannabis company. I do believe that if and when it happens, it would not happen on a global scale. It would happen in isolated countries first based on which countries cannabis is legal.

BOOM
