The airline industry is not really concerned with older travelers. Old people travel less by plane. There is a direct correlation with age increases and reduction in air travel. Really starts to hit when people get close to 70.

People have very short memories. I recall after the SARS outbreak watching a show saying tourism to China will plummet in the wake of the outbreak and that airlines flying into Beijing would be hit. All was forgotten less then a year later.
