A warrant allows you to buy the stock at a certain price for a liminted amount of time.If you bought warants for .56 cents they most likely are to buy the stock at $3.00 for limited  a time. So if the stock went to $5.00 your warrants would be probably worth $2.10-$2.20 depending how much time was left. If the stock goes bellow $3.00 and time runs out your warrants are worthless.Thats the short vertion . There is much more info on line on the subject. The differance  between a warrant an an option is that a warrant is issued by the company itself and when the warrant is excersied ie: the holder decides to buy the stock . The money goes directly to the company. With an option it goes to another share holder that wrote the option. Options are non delutive while warrants cause more shares to be issued.
