Now, the best way to get JV is to have low CAPEX (achieved) and very low OPEX.
Reduction of chemicals used for battery grade would cut in both, their cost and transportation.
If OPEX will get below 2.5K/tonne, NLC will be top JV partner candidate.
If they have problems with chemistry - two options: OPEX will be up or maybe the chemist is not up to the task.
ML has consistently 30-40% premium over NLC, despite of clear NLC advantage in deposit size and quality. NLC should have 50% advantage. The difference is location and management. Not like NLC's management is bad (I would not be here), they are average or just above it. ML has a heavyweight...Abasov.
LAC is defientely good, but Abasov factor makes ML looks good too. Argentina's risks is, probably, a joke for him after Ethiopia.
