RE:RE:Finally a news update, (Leadership roles)!
My take: just a different position; possibly neither a promotion or demotion. OGI is growing, and they're able to grow management ranks, and allow for specialization. Maybe Deluca was previously putting time/effort into both positions? In any event, he's replaced by an experienced CFO who's loyal to the company; I say this based on his tenure with OGI. And Deluca focuses 100% of his time on strategy. This is not unlike the recent shakeup at Disney, where Bob Iger resigned as CEO and agreed to remain for another 18 months to focus solely on creative. As CEO, he was fulfilling CEO responsibilities and creative. Now, Iger is purely creative, and the new CEO, Chapek, fills the CEO shoes.
