I agree wholeheartedly. I also believe that using futures as a hedge, instead of to speculate, is a wise thing to do. I don't buy/sell futures either, but have always wanted to learn more. At the same time, I've seen folks get into BIG trouble in futures. 


when I see the numbers you post, especially when there's a noticeable change, I ask myself whether someone's truly expecting a drop on price or, if hedging, just putting on some price insurance in the event of a drop. Of course, futures work both ways, up and down. Maybe one of the pros on this Board could tell us more.
