Rnx

RnxI decided some months ago to cut back on postings on RNX as there really wasnt much new to say and the quality of discourse was not the best .the negatives are well known and extensively discussed ,principally the large number of shares out and the royalties on the beta hunt .There is no mention on the detailed Maverix annual report on sedar about any negotiations on the high royalties on the beta hunt that they own .Production from the beta hunt was down in the last quarter ,it may be that RNX is not going after the potential high grade zone and using this as a negotiating card ,I dont know ,they may be increasing production from their Higginsville open pit ,this is low grade stuff and the Allure of RNX has always been the potential for high grade finds at the beta hunt a la Father's Day vein .
Shorting of these small miners is often brought up but rarely happens ,quite simply there are more sellers than buyers and the stock pretty much remains in a trading range given poor market conditions .The company is profitable though has high expenses (ie the royalties),I was never able to determine when the royalties were sold ,for how much and who was the original buyer and seller .
For Mav the royalties are still there most important source of revenue though as expands its royalty profile it becomes less important .Whether any kind of royalty deal between MAV and RNX is possible I dont know ,it would have to be fair and in the interests of both sets of shareholders
RNX operation is being well managed but has a huge pit to dig itself out of in terms of debt ,many shares out and high royalties related to prior management .So I would think it will be a long slow process ,the share price right now would appear to be at a cyclical low ,over the last few weeks it has been a good trader stock .The price of gold is slowly rising so eventually this should result in an increase in RNX share price along with a lot of other beaten up small miners. It is really the large companies like Franco nevada  that have been doing well.Over the long term as RNX management digs itself out of its big pit the share price should slowly rise especially if the price of gold keeps rising, but when this will happen and by how much is anyone's guess.I dont own RNX but do own MAV and other small royalty stocks ,am tending to buy stocks in which Eric Sprott is actively investing in but even those were hit this week ,he must have lost a lot of money in the hundreds of millions of dollars in the last two weeks .Hopefully things will stabalise in these markets once the corona virus panic goes away and the 24/7 news media moves on the hype something else to sell its advertising .
