RE:RE:Re WCPwestcanpride wrote: I will admit I do have a pessimistic side to me for my CGX shares. .. guess being invested for close to 10yrs in CGX and seeing disappointment after disappointment does that. My biggest hope for CGX has always been the basin geology and recent success of exxon/apache has reaffirmed my commitment to Corentyne and Demerara. With that, the fact we still don't have any meaningful JV to help fund exploration wells is certainly frustrating. What do these external companies see in CGX that we dont? Perhaps if we had a history of making timely deals I would be more optimistic. Couple this with rapidly decling oil prices (thus making exploration budgets for major companies much less) and I think healthy pessimism is warranted. Believe me, I hope like heck I am wrong and de Alba makes a timely deal. I have enough shares allocated to CGX that I sure would love to see some capital appreciation. Hopefully something great happens next week with CGX
Let's not forget, Frontera invested millions into CGX for good reason. I know veryone feels that it's taking a long time to get a deal done, but a deal of this magnitude will take time and De Alba just got started. I'm guessing there a number of ways to go about this and hopefully there are a number of suitors. Just hope the declining oil prices don't throw a wrench into things....being realistic they just might for the short term.
