It's a zero-sum game; fear/hysteria is always a good business. It already hapened in the past, it will continue to happen in the future.
The companies will adapt, a supply chain can be reconfigured even if it's means to put back production locally, which isn't a bad thing.
Concentrating off shore production into one country or a few ones is what killed the heavy industry in Europe.
