BIT OF A BOUNCE OVER SEASMaybe a bit of recovery tomorrow...but what is really troubling tonight is what Don Lemon said at the intro to his show on CNN .
He said, I`m going to lay some numbers on you and I want you to really think about this
11 days ago Italy had 250 infections, today they top 9000 and the entire country is in lockdown
11 days ago the USA had a dozen or so infections, today they have 272 infections, where will we be in 11 days
Canada now has 80 infections, where will we be in 11 days.
He did not however factor in that Italy is about 20% the size of Ontario with 60 million plus people - that`s a lot of sardines crammed into the can so you would expect a high contagion rate.
Still pretty unsettling numbers - can we assume that with community spread we will see the same outcome in North America.
The Geanie is out of the bottle, oil will likely see a corrective bounce here but can it sustain any ground it may make back. Demand just might evaporate a lot quicker than we think.
Didn`t see too many Edmontonians smiling today, in fact quite the contrary - a lot of looks of deep concern.
I think you have to have your head buried pretty deeply inside your own rectum if you don`t think it`s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.
The economy is headed for a free fall into the abyss, especially the already hard hit Alberta economy.
Mall patronage is down, restaurants are empty, ain`t no one going to take in a movie at a theater...and I have my suspicions that pretty much all professional sports will be cancelled / postponed moving forward. Wouldn`t you know it - just when the Leafs actually have a chance - life is so unfair.
GLTA and stay healthy
