i think the punishment of hse share price from the last dividend cut was more due to breaking a promise than the actual divy cut itself. Institution investors valued divy stability more so than about the balance sheet. I believe when hse management brought back the dividend, they didn't make any promise.

I think that in some ways the balance sheet looks better today than it did in 2014 when the share price was 36 bucks.

This current WTI price is going to go up because even the most hard headed of U.S. bankers must now realize that the time of rationalization for U.S. frackers has finally come. How long can you tell the farmer to keep borrowing and increasing the size of his herd when he can't come close to making a buck on any of the cows. At some point you tell him that its bull.

Having said that I would still like to see some cuts from HSE even if they are relatively small.
