Hi ,
As you all know, over the past few days we’ve seen widespread disruption to sports leagues and events across the world due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). While some of these developments are still fairly fluid, we wanted to provide an update and answer some questions you might have about how this impacts your experience on theScore Bet.
Ongoing Betting
Over the coming weeks, we will continuously monitor what sporting events will be taking place and evaluate how best we can support them with available markets. This is an environment that’s evolving on a daily basis. To help keep track, we have developed a guide within theScore app (iOS and Android) on the status of the major leagues, that will be updated on a rolling basis for your reference. You can check it out here.
What Happens to My Future Bets?
Future bets are all handled in accordance with our House Rules, which vary based on the specific type of future bet - but in general, the cancellation of a game or event (e.g. the NCAA Basketball Championship) will result in any related future bet being declared “no action” and the bet refunded in full. Future bets in respect of games or events that are currently in a postponed state (e.g. NBA) will remain pending until we have a definitive resolution on the status of those applicable games or events.
Free Bets Expiring Soon?
We know some of you have free bets potentially expiring soon and, without a lot of major sports available, they run the risk of expiring unused. So, for any unused free bets that were due to expire on or after Thursday, March 12, we will award you a comparable free bet when the major sports leagues resume play. We’ll be back in touch with more information when that happens.
What’s the Latest?
There’s a lot happening and it can be very difficult to stay on top of what has been canceled or postponed so you know what action is available. Make sure to reference our guide, which is available and free to access on theScore.
You can also always contact our Customer Support team at the support email and telephone number below, and we’ll be happy to help address any questions as they arise.
To all our users, please be safe and take all necessary precautions during this time. The health and well-being of our users is the greatest priority. The world of sports will come back to full force. In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding as we collectively navigate this rapidly evolving landscape.
Best,
John Levy
