RE:HedgingHedges alone helps little .I own a couple US shale plays that are hedged and I figure they won't survive.CNQ has debt,but maturity is a few years down the road.Thats the only thing that matters.Hedging ,after all,is gambling on oil futures under the guise of "protection".
It's 50/50..
It's a guest last week on BNN that's invested in CNQ that mentioned most of the debt matures long term.By then things will normalize.Too much of this panic mode happening that creates great buying times.Just people should stay away from smaller mid cap oilco's .
They are the ones that banks will never lend to.
