RE:RE:Trudeau = Mr. Rogers.... Beautiful day in the neighbourhood!Through the years Canada has been a victim yet still thrives as a great place to live.We pay far too much attention to media.Newfies suffered when our cod stocks were wiped out.Seal hunts were effectively banned.Pipelines get daily bombardments from environmenalists.Auto sector decimated.Manufacturing went into freefall. Some things definitely were out of our control ,but I can remember many people on Media saying let the auto sector rot.
It appears as though in some cases this country is devided,, and it was up to our government to step in. As a lucky Canadian I retired with a full pension from the auto sector, but those days are over..no more decent retirement packages from private company's.
Only government affiliated workers get them ,along with a select few.Teachers come to mind.
Young people better realise that the only thing Canada has is it's recourses.High tech jobs are no guarantee. Does anyone remember BlackBerry? It perfected the smartphone.and its all but gone And Americans forget it sure as heck wasn't Apple. The point is high tech is big today, gone tomorrow when the next best thing comes to market.
Young people along with these short sighted environmentalists, better look into the future..because without resources, and the money the Canadian Government gets from that, future pensions for retirees will be dire indeed..
No real middle class left when compared to when I was in my 20s..and taxing what's left won't go much farther.
