Lack of Manufacturing Capability Killing the West

Lack of Manufacturing Capability Killing the West

The biggest problem isn't the virus. There is an acute shortage of hand sanitizer, masks, respirators, ventilators, and anti-viral medication, which show every sign of being effective. The virus is destructive, but our own lack of preparation is the real problem, We can't crank up production, because we have no production. Everything is manufactured overseas, and foreign competitors need these products for themselves. Many will die because they don't have access to ridiculously inexpensive anti-viral medication. Empirical results from hospitals in Europe show these have been effective at combatting the disease. And this vould be all we've got. A vaccine is at least a year away, and that's optimistic. It's a critical failure of our civilization. My hope is we get lucky, and coronavirus just dissipates over the next few months. And that is possible. We need a break.
