RE:RE:RE:Merger

only ipl management knows their ability to finish heartland alone or not. I hope ipl management doesn't let the share price dictate how the heartland get built.

I agree.

That being said there are some potentials for a joint venture.

PPL has put their plans for a plastics plant on hold for now.  Just speculation...but this does open the possibility that PPL and IPL could have discussions where PPL would joint venture with IPL on Heartland.  if something like this where to happen...again..purely hypothetical...this would reduce the capital requirements for IPL and change the math in terms of borrowing and cash required to complete the project.  Both companies IMO would gain from such a JV since IMO...I was surprised when PPL oriignally said they would be building a plant and I didn't see the need to for two of them.

On the flip side..a JV would mean that IPL would need to sahre the projected EBITA from Heartland with PPL and thereby reduce future growth potential..

My gut instinct is that since IPL didn't cut the dividend in the last PR and this wouda been the time to announce such a thing...that there may be...in the theme of Easter...a rabbit to be pulled out of the hat

As always..time will tell
