RE: Nortel, the Alliance, the Buyout, when?

RE: Nortel, the Alliance, the Buyout, when? Mr_ed, I think we all have to put our heads, together on this one. We come from different backgrounds: Yourself, Old Fashioned, Engineer Supreme, pnrvp, DOC, oddlot, illuminate, not meaning to leave anybody out, but you're included!!! What we know: -Cell-Loc is very open to a buyer, regardless of its intended partnerships -Cell-Loc has spoken to Nortel -Nortel is conducting trials in Boston etc. -3G wireless is expected to explode this year, within the burn rate of Cell-Loc -the lay-offs were expected to marketing, and indicate a trend towards partnership and buyout. -some draw ups of partnerships have been indicated (Old Fashioned) -the market can only speculate as to a share price today, highly dependent now on NEWS of a partnership and buyout, otherwise economy is downward trend -only about 5 companies have this technology -Cell-Loc bought by Altimara, Nesbit etc. good indication of potential -go reviews by Mr_ed, DOC, Old Fashioned, Engineer Supreme lately What is reasonable and likely to happen? Let's put it together: -lets draw out attention to your research, Mr_ed, you indicate that the best solution, most convenient for the likes of Nortel is to use a hybrid solution that can bring it all together through the oems rather than through a specific company: that's fine -now, lets target your last posting: ..."During the trial, Nortel also hopes to study different models for providing the service to end users. While Internet service providers, application service providers and wireless operators are obvious Nortel customers that could deliver such services, other businesses that could deliver the services include hotels and theme parks. "You could check into your hotel, get your room key and your device that is customized and branded for that location," Hall said. Hotels that Nortel has talked to about such an offering have expressed interest, he said. The services are running on Cingular Wireless' wireless data network for the trial, but Nortel will ultimately make such an offering available over any type of wireless network. Nortel's service also wouldn't require location information to come from GPS, but will be able to use data from any location collection method. One of the main reasons that Nortel chose Boston out of the 24 cities it considered is because Boston is a difficult city for a visitor to navigate, Hall said. "It's a tough city geographically travel-wise, and we wanted to see if we couldn't stress our system a bit," he said. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- It again looks like Nortel is adopting a "WAIT AND SEE", not unrealistic if Cell-Loc is indeed involved. It is now reasonable to expect this to be true, given that we know from inside that MF has spoken to Cell-Loc and has mentioned them with notice in his latest conference call. Also Nortel's share is being blasted, and its tough in these economic times. The above is reasonable to believe, knowing nothing else. What then can our strategy be as investors? -wait and hold, buy more on NEWS!!! Ignore present price, press BS!!! -take ownership stance on our shares vs. passive share holders hoping to make a fast buck, given our meager share price -speak to Nortel, Anthony Hall, as mentioned in your article -make sure that MF and team are accountable to us investors in carrying through and hiring the right people to assist in this regard (Engineer Supreme). -give NT a 5-10% stake in the company, push for Roth to be on our chairmanship free and clear with all incentives, etc. etc...give us credibility immediately (What would happen if a reputable CEO, eg Bill Gates, was invited to be on our chairmanship? Fattouche, I hope you have by now begun to think about this, and not hide behind your professors glasses!!!. Otherwise, I am first to nominate Mr_ed with a triple salary to take your place, with Engineer Supreme as his technical support!!!) It's clear to me that action will happen in the future as above, the question is how much further battering can we take, in a deteriorating economy expected to get worst. Only the above can save us, and so far MF has shown us to be a professor going on technicals rather than business reality. Old Fashioned, I hope that by now you know more than I do, or have the contacts to influence this team, as if the competitors are not academics, we're in trouble. Remember, Bill Gates did't have the best operating system, He had a famous lawyer relative who cut the cake for him. Look at where he's gone. Knock, knock, Fattouche, I hope you are reading this. Do'nt play hardball with Nortel, do the contracts, improve your tech, offer a very, very attractive buyout, now or in the future, as Mr_ ed suggests, as my balls are no bigger than our poster pnvrp. AND, yes, PNVRP, I know you have bought at $11.00, so have I, and I can buy a nice, nice Mercedes if I did not buy Cell-Loc!!! We're all in this together, covering the holes in the boat. We should take ownership of our shares, and put pressure on MF to perform and stay awake. With us together, we should be able to implement some preventive med, as Cell-Loc is accountable to us always.
