No Less Prestigious a Medical Journal than The Lancet states

" . . . Coronavirus is reported to have killed fewer than 4,000 people so far. Meanwhile, 770,000 people die every year from AIDS-related illnesses. We should certainly take coronavirus very seriously indeed. But we must also put this new pandemic in perspective. So far, we have not."

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)30602-4/fulltext

The fact is we should take every illness and injury very seriously - should roofs be banned because people by the tens of thousands fall off them every year and are killed stone dead? - should we quarantine people from going up on roofs altogether, a sort of "architectural distancing" or "sure protection from the certain effects of gravity" if you like? - obviously this would be madness - but we must put everything in context.

What has happened with Corona is that it has been blown out of proportion and as I mentioned before dim-witted folk who are easily falsely influenced and blown about by every wind of sensationalistic disinformation are unable to do that because they are taken in by the "big, fake lies" of the MSM as was noted with that dullard on this board a few posts ago who tried to discredit and attempt to instill specious context by maliciously smearing the messenger.

If a given subject is deprived of context it is difficult to make intellectual sense of it regardless of the subject.
