I find this strange, after a tax free period which has been over for quit some time, Oceana pays 60% tax after write offs. ( the write offs isnormal book keeping ( cost of building mine spread over life time off mine etc...) ).
Off those 60% , 40% goes to the region, which is the province I think. This amounts to oceana paying 24% tax to the province. The problem may be that the government pays this tax only forward to the province with a 3 year delay. So its possible they received nothing yet to date. Seems the locals don't know this. As an investor a 60% tax for me is disgusting, but a local should be very happy wiht 24%.
