Lower grades at Fosterville and Detour. Congrats!
Well see what analysts will say but my guess is down between 5-10% tomorrow

I say, "High", you say, "Low"
You say, "Why?" And I say, "I don't know"
Oh no
You say, "Goodbye", and I say, "Hello, hello, hello"

With the POG up about $150 over Q1 2019 I think Detour should bring in about the same cash in Feb. and Mar. 2020 as they did in Feb. Mar. 2019 despite the lower production.

The results for the remainder of the year depend on how soon before normal production levels can resume at Detour and Macassa and if Fosterville can continue operating at near normal.

For the 1st quarter at least it looks like KL dodged a bullet due to higher POG. The same can't be said for many other industries.

I'm hoping we can get a share price rise tomorrow or next week to above US $33.92 which is the average cost of the 9.7 million shares bought back for $329M.

If things begin to get back to normal after April I think we'll do fine with KL shares but its true a prolonged period with far less production will hurt the bottom line. The good thing is unmined gold ore is still in the ground and theres lots of it to sell into higher prices eventually.
