RE:Thoughts on Margin?Hi Canader, my opinion is personal and whatever I say it is only a suggestion. Investing on margin is a double edge sword, it amplifies both gains and losses. Sometimes we feel that our call is so right that the risk is almost zero and we start using leverage/margin throwing caution out the door. Margin investing is highly risky, please do not let the sirens of banking greed seduce you into a game where you can be stopped out of your positions without notice. Thousands of people lost more than what they have invested because they woke up one day to find out that their bank or broker liquidated their positions because of a severe gap down (genuine or enginerred). The risk/reward is in favor of the banks and hedge funds who can see your hand and usually play with other people's money. You are playing with your own money, and your peace of mind and sanity are priceless.
