Western Copper and Gold Corporation is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is engaged in developing the Casino Project. The Casino Project is a copper-gold mining project in Yukon, Canada. The Casino porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum deposit is located in west central Yukon, in the northwest trending Dawson Range mountains, approximately 300 kilometers (km) northwest of the territorial capital of Whitehorse. The Casino project is located on Crown land administered by the Yukon Government and is within the Selkirk First Nation traditional territory and the Tr’ondek Hwechin traditional territory lies to the north. The Casino Property lies within the Whitehorse Mining District and consists of approximately 1,136 full and partial Quartz Claims and 55 Placer Claims acquired in accordance with the Yukon Quartz Mining Act. The total area covered by Casino Quartz Claims is approximately 21,126.02 hectares (ha). The total area covered by Casino Placer Claims is 490.34 ha.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The roadWhat is wrong with Canada?   Why does it seem that the FNs are the largest landholders?  Here in the states we took the land by force from the indigenous peoples and what we didn't take we gave them parcels of land known as reservations.

Seems in Canada it is the other way around:  nobody had any pioneering spirit, no initiative was made to claim or conqueor any territory.  How did Canada settle land claims in the past?  Did they just assume the FNs owned everything and the settlers had to beg on bended knees for anything that they were allowed to have???

If there were truly actual "nations" that existed in the Yukon thousands of years ago, how come today's population is less than 40,000?   Hmmm.......questions methinks that liberals don't want to answer.

Reminds me of a book I once read by M. Savage, "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder".
